“On this occasion, however, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed held court on Meet The Press pushing back against Peggy Noonan's and Ted Cruz's assertion that veep candidate Paul Ryan is a "serious man".
Mayor Reed did exceptionally well at commanding the panel's attention. The way he pivoted back to Peggy Noonan, not letting her off-the-hook for what she said earlier, while simultaneously chin-checking Ted Cruz, knocking him off his high horse was well-played, indeed.
President Obama needs more surrogates like Mayor Reed; one's who can go toe-to-toe with the GOP minions. Reed's handling of Noonan and Cruz is a great example of how, when pitted directly against one another, facts always trump talking points.”
